TA & TA

TA & TA is a new contemporary theatre project by Xiao Ke x Zi Han in 2024, which continues to explore gender issues in the context of vegetarian theatre and zero-rehearsal experiments. The work will be performed on 23rd June 2024 at MiHang Culture -Zero Degree Space in Shanghai.

The project is divided into three works, presented in an integrated way, namely:

Female Theatre "Her" 2:30pm - 3:50pm

Female Theatre "Her”

A vegetarian theatre production and presentation facing women, with questions from male creators. It opens a topic about women and men. The creation is centered on caring for the female psyche, creating a male creation from a reverse perspective, establishing opportunities for communication and rebuilding the possibility of understanding. The female vegetarian actors are of different age groups, giving a profile of a woman's growth.

Plant Theatre "IT”

A life-giving plant makes an appearance and gives an answer in the face of human thinking.

Male Theatre "Him

A vegetarian theatre production and presentation facing men, with questions from female creators. It opens a topic about women and men. The creation is centered on caring for the male psyche, creating a female creation from a reverse perspective, putting an end to isolated shouting and rebuilding the possibility of understanding. The cast of male vegetarians is composed of different age groups, giving a profile of a man's growth.

The artist's experiment on gender issues needs to be gradual, in order to facilitate the targeted exploration of the issues, combined with the current study of gender issues in Chinese society, the project did not set up a separate transgender group of more in-depth issues, this decision does not mean that the artist is limited to a binary perception of gender. This decision does not mean that the artists' perception of gender is limited to the binary. In the future, the project will continue to be in-depth, and specific experimental creations on transgender people will be launched.
