Cache

Dance Theatre

PROJECT NOTE

Cache is a dance theatre work. The body, as the temporary host of the spirit, walks in the grey area between unordered consciousness and linear time. Language is called up in fragments; when we speak and think about “time,” the body grows old and disappears almost imperceptibly, awakening in dreams and sleeping in reality.

Seven dancers try to amplify the hidden desire and sadness in their body memories. Where might these long-hidden, fragmented emotions lead bodies once they leave familiar physical vocabularies? Combining physical performance with sound and video installation, the work is a sudden daydream staged at nap time.
