Jin Hai:

What a blast! I hope we can do a more relaxed ‘thirteen and a half hours’ every year!

Cube:

Next time, I’ll put on sports socks and do it again!

CS Chen:

Auspicious purple clouds arrive from the east—we’ve unlocked new landmarks in Shanghai! That felt great!

Xiao Ke:

When we are deeply focused, gently passing one another might be a missed encounter, or it might be a moment of walking together.

Gu Mingze:

Forty-two kilometres is a huge number, but what actually happened was countless tiny things: a red light, a stop, a shoelace coming undone, needing the toilet, a shop with its doors closed, a street corner I’d never been to.

Yitong:

Your legs start at your butt.

Hanbing:

After burning all those calories, what you need most is to eat properly—get enough protein, carbs and dietary fibre—and rest well, stretch and sleep. It made me realise how badly I usually treat my body.

Arthur:

Passing the buildings of my current employer, my previous employer and the one before that, my feet kept moving forward while my mind travelled back into the past. My youth is gone; thankfully, I can still remember it.

Zi Han:

Along the way, I heard passers-by say ‘A rainbow!’ about seven or eight times. Most of them sounded delighted and surprised. It made me very happy!
