More Than One Table in Kanazawa

More Than One Table in Kanazawa is a durational live performance by Xiao Ke × Zi Han for Culture City of East Asia 2018 Kanazawa: Altering Home at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. The artists set a long table in public space and invite different people to take part.

From late morning until late evening, the work unfolds as an unusual meal party open to local people in Kanazawa, international tourists, and artists. Food sharing becomes a way of extending communication. Chinese and Japanese meals, alongside conversations about food and culture, form a temporary platform for people from different backgrounds to consider: What can I share from my home with you? Do we really understand each other? What does home mean?
