Somewhere About Home

Somewhere About Home is a live talking performance by Xiao Ke × Zi Han with Yu Ming Zhi. Yu has worked as a housekeeper in Xiao Ke × Zi Han’s home in Shanghai for six years and comes from a village in Anhui. Xiao Ke comes from Kunming, Yunnan; Zi Han was born in Shanghai and grew up in Huainan. The three live together in Shanghai and care for one another as a new family, while each has a “home” in a different place.

The performance shares their stories and feelings about Shanghai, family, and the meaning of home. On the final day of 2016, Xiao Ke × Zi Han invited Yu Ming Zhi to stay with the audience and wait for the new year to arrive.
