PROJECT NOTE
Ta & Ta is a contemporary theatre project by Xiao Ke × Zi Han in 2024. It continues their exploration of gender in the context of vegetarian theatre and zero-rehearsal experiments. The project brings together three works in one integrated presentation: Female Theatre “Her”, Plant Theatre “It”, and Male Theatre “Him”.
The project approaches gender research gradually, allowing for focused exploration in relation to contemporary Chinese society. It does not yet establish a separate group for an in-depth exploration of transgender experience; this does not limit the artists’ understanding of gender to a binary, and the project will continue to develop more specific experiments in the future.
THREE WORKS

A vegetarian theatre production and presentation facing women, with questions raised by male creators. Centred on care for the female psyche, it works from a reverse perspective to open communication and rebuild possibilities for understanding. The performers span different age groups, forming a profile of a woman’s growth.
