Darling Hurt IV — Ready, Go!

Ready, Go! takes two familiar popular exercises and places them in Shenzhen’s public environment: Xiao Ke writes the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China on the ground in water, while Zi Han whips three steel spinning tops. The writing slowly evaporates; the whip and top produce a sustained reverberation. One action is soft and one hard, linking a vanishing text with the continuous pressure of sound and movement.
